Where it all started...

The famous british photographer Norman Parkinson, started his carrer in 1931 and it wasn't long after that that Vogue approached him to shoot well known models for their cover. Parkinson worked for Vogue for 15 years (1945-1960), he then decided to photograph for himself and capture moments in women's daily life.

''I like to make people look good as they'd like to look and with luck, a shade better''

Actress/ Model/ Wife?

Parkinson was a ladies man, and loved to capture them with his lens. A photographer always has his favorite model to shoot with and his turned out to become his wife for 40 years.

Carmen Dell' Orefice

Carmen Dell' Orefice is the oldest working supermodel, she never stopped modeling even at age 81.
The pictures Norman Parkinson took of her got auctioned at the London College of fashion, after
the model lost her life savings by investing in a Bernie Madoff scam.
Carmen and Norman were really close friends and always fooled around on set.

Advertisments

When Norman started to get more and more popular, companies started hireing him to shoot for their advertisment ads.

At first he wasnt sure because he didnt want to get associated with a certain brand or product but still gave it a shot.
